See the furtive thief about to walk off with the Myers ’ bags ? Thanks to this photograph , he got view :
We were lease video outside the Capitol construction and I want to get a timed dead reckoning of the whole family line all dressed up . So I put my suitcase down , place the television camera on a wall , got everyone to line up , put the timer for ten seconds , and jumped into the photograph . I take a quick look at the image and liked it .

We then start to take the air away when I realize my bag was leave out . I give out inside the edifice to see if someone had turned it in , but no luck . I turn tail outside and circle the building , but still no luck .
I then realize that I might have catch the stealer on camera and I check the snapshot again . When I saw the guy with his hand in my bag , I ran back inside and get the Capitol Police . They were awesome . They straightaway sent out a verbal description of the thief using the photo I took . In a few mo , one ship’s officer had incur him still in the area . The thief had dump some affair from the bag in a nearby trash can — the newsflash for my camera , a little backpack of minor toys , a grip of cable , extra SD cards , my mini tripod — but still in my bag were my wallet with cash , credit card , hotel keys , rental automobile keys , and my iPad .
The Police recovered everything and hauled the cat off to jail .

beaming to see a very glad ending here , but let ’s hope that next thieves do n’t learn to fend off accidental photobombs .
Update : Just to clarify , these event occurred by the State Capitol construction in Madison , WI — not in DC .
