Bethenny Frankel didn’t mince words on Wednesday’sWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohenwhen discussing a comment herReal Housewives of New York Citycostar Ramona Singer made about Dennis Shields, Frankel’s late boyfriend.
In an episode ofRHONYthat aired last month, Singer criticized the 51-year-old businessman, who wasfound dead in his Trump Tower apartment on Aug. 10, 2018, from a suspected overdose.
Her words, which came just three weeks after Shields’ death, followed one of her castmates praising Shields’ intelligence. “How smart can Dennis be?” Singer asked. “I mean, he was on drugs.”
Frankel, 48, said she accepted the apology, but still dug into Singer, 62, when asked about it onWWHL.
She went on to tell Cohen about her alleged communication with Singer behind the scenes. “I said, ‘I don’t know what to say,’ ” Frankel recalled. “She said, ‘There is nothing to say.’ ”
Singer had also asked Bravo to have her comment cut from the show to no success, Frankel claimed.
All in all, Frankel said she doesn’t “harbor resentment” toward Singer.
“I’m not angry — because I don’t feel anger anymore the way I used to in the show,” she said. “You can’t live it. I’ve been doing it for so long.”
Still, the Skinnygirl mogul made it clear she wasn’t Singer’s best friend. “It’s bad,” Frankel said. “And the thing is, she’s done it nonstop. Every single episode there’s another swipe, another slam.”

Frankel has been open on this season ofRHONYabout the complicated emotions she’s felt since Shields’ death.
The two met nearly 20 years ago when he dated (and later married) Jill Schwartzberg, one of her high school friends. They did not stay in touch, but Frankel and Shields shared other mutual pals and began dating in 2016, several months after he separated from Schwartzberg (and three years after she filed for divorce fromex-husband Jason Hoppy).
He eventually proposed to Frankel last April with a mega-carat rock, whichshe proudly wore. And though he was close with her 8-year-old daughter, Bryn, Frankel kept their engagement private and never really gave Shields a clear yes, telling him that things were on “ice” until some “conditions” had been met and “changes” made.

Frankel has since found love again, withreal estate developer and film producer Paul Bernon.
“He’s incredible,” Frankel said on Wednesday’sWWHL. “He’s a beautiful human being inside and out. Yes, Bryn knows him and loves him. They’re very, very similar people.”
Meanwhile, the cause of Shields’ death still remains a mystery. The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office announced in August that an autopsywas not performedon his body due to a “religious objection.” Thus, his cause of death has been ruled “undetermined.”
