“Teen Mom OGwasn’t a fit for me, it took away my peace… and honestly — my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford,” Palin wrote on Instagram.
“$ doesn’t impress me, I don’t entertain bs, and walking away from this show allows God to rebuild me (and my little fam) in the right direction. I have love for all the girls on the show, and wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors!!” Palin concluded adding a “❤️🍻 xoxo, B.”
Prior to her departure, Palin publiclyexpressed her issueswith the show, explaining she wasn’t happy with how she was portrayed.
Palin put the reality show on blast for what she considers to be “inaccuracies and false narratives.”
“If I cared what people thought of me, I wouldn’t be here today — let’s be real,” Palin captioned a photo of herself with her three kids. She shares daughters, Atlee, 19 months, and Sailor, 2, with ex-husbandDakota Meyers, and son Tripp, 9, with exLevi Johnston.
“I’ve stood strong and held it down for my kids since day one. No matter how bad @teenmom tries to portray my ‘life’ … my babies, my family, my close friends — they know the TRUTH,” she continued. “I’m a pretty great mom, work my a– off, show up, and hustle everyday to give my kids a pretty great life. @mtv doesn’t want to talk about faith, show work ethic, or juggling three kids alone, they don’t want to show the humble process of starting over after a divorce, building a career, or any real life issues. All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true.”
Season 7 ofTeen Mom OGhas chronicled tensions between Palin and Meyers as theirrelationship unraveled. In 2015, the couplecalled off their first planned wedding— which was supposed to be a big, splashy affair in Kentucky — days before the May 23 date. Theylater reunitedandquietly tied the knotin June 2016.
Less than two years later, they split for good, with Meyerfiling for divorcein February 2018. Palin announced on Instagram in August that theproceedings had been finalized.
Theiremotional decision to call it quitshas unfolded on the show, with Meyer acknowledging that his anxiety and PTSD put a strain on the marriage. (A former U.S. Marine, he was the only surviving member of his platoon during the war in Afghanistan.) But Meyerrecently told PEOPLEthat the “relationship was done way beforeTeen Mom OG.“
“Our relationship has had struggles from day one,” he said. “I think we tried our best. I can definitely say that I tried in this relationship.”

On the Dec. 10 episode, Meyers accused Palin of creating drama between them for the show.
“You know what? Pick up the phone or text me when there’s not cameras around,” he told her. “Show me that you’re going to have genuine intentions, and it ain’t just for the show to start some drama.”
Meyer has alsoexpressed his discontent with the show, calling it “trailer trashReal Housewives.”
While Palin’s time onTeen Mom OGmay be over, her relationship with Meyers has taken a turn for the better.
Last week, Palin revealed on Instagram that she washelping her ex-husband sell his home— something she said seemed like the impossible.
“He’s happy I swear!! 🙃” shejoked in the caption, referencing Meyers’ straight face in the photo. “if I can work (and sell) my ex-husband’s house – I can do anything 🏡🍻 #austinrealtor”
As the former pair posed together for the shot, Palin smiled for the camera and proudly showed off her black t-shirt that read “World’s Greatest Ex-Wife” in large white letters.
