The third time of year ofChilling Adventures of Sabrinais now useable for streaming , and if you devour it in one big wizardly gulp you might be a bit perplex by some of what take place . It ’s a voluminous mystical existence of adolescent witches and hell legions , and this show ’s storytelling has never been straightforward .
In particular , the third time of year ended with an installment that turned the story on its head with a waste round of metre change of location , leading to a broken timeline , an obvious worldly paradox , and more than oneSabrina . What ? Really ?
Talking toEntertainment Weekly , showrunner Roberto Aguirre - Sacasa discussed the braggart clip travel twist and what the introduction of time magic trick will do to the show going forrard . But it turns out , this twist was never in the poster before they got to write it .

“ So when we introduced the estimation of time travel in episode 5 , I was like , ‘ hombre we got ta keep it really simple . We can not create a temporal paradox , ’ ” Aguirre - Sacasa say . “ I do n’t lie with what happened on our way to the eighth sequence but we found ourselves literally creating a paradox . It ’s really fun . It in all likelihood bulge out about midway when we started talk about Father Blackwood [ Richard Coyle ] exploring the idea of time magic , but [ laughs ] I did not have sex it was go to be such a braggy part of the time of year . ”
As for what ’s exit to happen next ? Well , in typical Sabrina manner , it ’s going to be a huge mess that our heroine is going to have to cipher out how to pilot . Or , I guess I should say , heroines .
“ Whenever Sabrina does something and messes up , we always attempt to play the consequence . Sometimes they ’re loose to contain and sometimes the event are immense . Sabrina has never done anything quite like this . I think part of time of year 4 is Sabrina realizing that even the modest of actions could have huge , universe - demolish upshot . It ’s something that will strike every character and it ’s a little bit like that Gwyneth Paltrow moving-picture show Sliding Doors . you could see the two unlike paths before her , ” Aguirre - Sacasa said .

For the writers , this problem is also a way to fiddle up themes that have been with the series from the start .
“ When we were talking about this time of year and cant over this season , you always go back to the nucleus of a character and for Sabrina , the core of her fibre will always be her duality , ” Aguirre - Sacasa said . “ It felt like we play that in part 1 and 2 — in part 1 she was trying to hold onto her deathly ego and in part 2 she explore her crone side . In part 3 , it was the tension between cheerleader by day , queen of Hell by Nox . We started thinking about how we can trifle the duality in part 4 and this awful talent of the last episode came to us . So it ’s really fun to keep investigating that . ”
Whether youdug the twist or hated it , Sabrina ’s fourth dimension - twisting adventures are n’t over yet — though it seems doubtful the show will keep a unkept timeline around for too long . We ’ll see what reality - altering shenanigans Sabrina gets up to when and if Part 4 come to Netflix .
