David Schwimmermade a lot of people mad when he hostedSaturday Night Live.On Monday, Jan. 13, the actor, 58, revealed onThe Late Show With Stephen Colbertthat he made a “big mistake” when he hosted the long-running sketch comedy series in 1995.“There was one big mistake I made,” he told hostStephen Colbert. “I was the first in the cast ofFriendsto be invited to hostSaturday Night Live, and it was a huge honor. However, nobody relayed that information to him until long after his hosting gig.“It wasn’t until years later that I was talking to someone else who had hosted the show and they said, ‘No no you’re supposed to show up on a Monday,'” he recalled. “No one told me and for years I had no idea why.“Despite his faux pas, Schwimmer was still invited to the show’s 50th anniversary special on Feb. 16.
