Over 2,270,000 people stilluse dial - up AOLto accession the universe wide connection . Do you know any of them ?
Or … are you one of them , patiently wait for Gizmodo to refresh and getting irate when your mom drops the connection by picking up the landline ? Dammit mom ! If so , I think of your struggle . I also forsake your battle back in , oh , 2003 , when my parents switched to DSL . Broadband had alreadyusurped dial - up by 2005 , which mean we ’ve had almost a X with telephone dial - up usersin the nonage .
If you ’ve made the switch ( I ’m adopt you did if you ’re a Gizmodo reader not located in a wild haven ) , when did you abandonthis strait ?

I ’m reckon that most mass using telephone dial - up are in a rural area with limited connectivity options . Or they ’re just completely uninterested in the cyberspace ( or , like my dial - up patriotic grandparents , they ’re just the case of old person who does n’t need to sweep up any fresh technical school , but there are plenty of tech - savvy elderly so I ’m not gon na generalize there ) .
Is there a family of dial - up dice - hards I ’m missing ? And why have n’t you staged an intervention yet ?
