Dylan McDermotthad a hilariously scary moment at the2023 Emmy Awards!
McDermott — who was there to announce the award for best lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie — paid tribute to the FX anthology series' creators. “We would not haveAmerican Horror Story, a winner of 16 Emmys, without the series creatorsRyan MurphyandBrad Falchuk,” he said, before acknowledging the mist and eerie aura of the stage.

“Is it me, or does this place seem…haunted? It’s almost like somebody’s watching me,” McDermott said — only to realize there was someone watching him: a 2024 version of the iconic series villian, Rubber Man.
“Oh no, not this dude, again,” he said once he clocked the character.
However, it turned out to just be host Anthony Anderson, who revealed himself once he unzipped the top of his full-body, black lycra suit. “It’s hard to breathe in these kind of things. I don’t know how that dude did it inPulp Fiction,” Anderson quipped. “Wait, am I sweating back there? You know Dylan, I thought my butt was bigger till I put on this thing.
Later on, Anderson — still wearing the suit, as well as a black, plush robe — returned to the stage for another segment. “Turns out it’s kind of hard to peel yourself out of a latex rubber suit quickly,” he joked. “I’m real moist up in here right now. I’ve gotta take a shower.”
