“If you know me at all, you know just how uncomfortable a day this is for me knowing you have all uprooted your schedules to be here,” Levy joked as he addressed the crowd gathered for his ceremony.
“In particular my grandson,my little grandson James— he could be looking at firetrucks right now, but no. He chose to be here, so thank you, Jamesy. Grandpa loves you.”

Eugene’s real-life son Dan, 40, recently joked during an appearance onThe Kelly Clarkson Showthat his high school classmates thought theAmerican Piemovies may have been based on his own life given his father’s role in the series.
“For most of my high-school life, people thought the movie was, like,a biography of my life,” Dan said. “Which is really unfortunate, because I would’ve killed to have had a life that interesting. There were no pies — I don’t even know about the ingredients of an apple pie, but that’s a whole other conversation.”
