The season 3 finis . Monroe and Rosalee ’s long - awaited wedding . Adalind on the easy . Murder . Mayhem I had foreknow all these thing happening , but to call this episode “ action - packed ” is an understatement . I never think I ’d say this , but I think Grimm almost had too much going on … and I be intimate it .
First of all , let ’s take that “ Blond Ambition ” benefitted from a breakneck step that even the most mythology - centric Jakob Grimm episodes have lacked . This installment aviate by , and somewhat much all the freestanding storylines are at full throttle . The main one is , of course , the hymeneals , which benefits from Rosalee ’s screaming boozehound of a sister DeEtta , no moreso when their kinsfolk wake up in the middle of the dark because of a collapse downstairs , only to discover DeEtta drunk out of her mind , fag Rosalee ’s marriage ceremony dress , which is torn and covered in wine brand , and gnarl about how the dress is cursed .
This will not be the biggest wedding - relate problem Monroe and Rosalee have today , but no need to get ahead of ourselves . Adalind is connive , again because she reckon an malign Royal has her babe and will merrily do anything he asks ( why Renard does not see the potential problem of this is harebrained to me ) . Shockingly , this causes a trouble in that Adalind think she can see her baby again if she takes off Nick ’s Grimm powers . fundamentally her plan is this : Call Juliette and tell her Renard still has feelings for her , then use her magic witch hat - bong to transform into Juliette and tell Renard she still has touch sensation for him .
Why does she do this ? I have no blinking clue . Because her actual plan is to transform into Juliette , manoeuver over to Nick ’s house while the real Juliette is out , and screw him until his Grimm power basically fall down out . Which she does . As you could guess , when the real Juliette comes home and eventually they both see out that Nick has fucked Adalind , Juliette is quick to say goodbye to all the bullshit that comes of dating a Grimm , and Nick is clearly panic . Alas , they both have to lead to the marriage first .
Meanwhile , Wu has discover Adalind ’s storage unit , which means Renard discovers it ; he spot the beldame - chapeau bong and motley spell formula out , and realizes the sexual mammajamma that Adalind plans laying on Nick . He bottle some of the green liquidity and drives flat to Nick ’s house , hop to get him , but he ’s already gone . He does take on Trubel , though , and after they pick up each other up on Nick , Renard gets ready to head to the wedding to give Nick the potion which is when that rogue FBI agent / Royal collaborator kill up and puts three in Renard ’s chest . When he notices there ’s a witness , he place his triggerman and decides to fight Trubel by script , which is when Trubel decide to fight with her matchet and cut his fucking head off . After briefly calling 911 to pick up Renard , she grabs the bottle , steal Renard ’s car , and heads off to the marriage ceremony .
And then things get really crazy because Trubel bursts in just as the ceremony ends , the Woge’d Wesen freak the fuck out , they start attacking Trubel , they knock the potion to the story where the bottle breaks , they pick apart Nick ’s looking glass off , it turns into a mob scene , and Nick , Trubel , Juliette and Hank barely get aside before they discover that Nick had indeed lose his Grimm powers — Monroe woges right in front of him , and he does n’t see a thing .
So here ’s where we leave time of year 3 : Nick is no longer a Jakob Ludwig Karl Grimm , Juliette is tired of the bull that come with a Grimm . Renard has been shot and may die . Monroe and Rosalee have gotten married but they ’re surrounded by their extremely angry , wild guests . Adalind is flying to Europe to discover there is n’t a babe waiting for her , just Viktor ’s smug grin . Nick and Juliette ’s house has a decapitated FBI agent in it . And unspoiled of all ? Wu , enquire Renard ’s attempted murder and the very successful murder of the FBI agent , starts thumbing through Trubel ’s sketchbook and see the monster that he so recently convince himself could n’t be real .
There ’s so much to establish on for season four , and between Wu ’s potential induction into Team Grimm — after some earnestly biting ramifications for lying to him — and because Nick ’s new impotency credibly intend Trubel kind of has stick around for a while , I ’m really looking forward to it . And think about this — all this shit happened in this episode without needing a new random Wesen - o’-the - calendar week to conduct with !
This is the young barroom , Grimm . Now we screw how good you may be when you really put your mind to it , and this is what we want from you from now on . You have no one to blame but yourself .
Assorted Musings :
• Monroe ’s racist parents have suddenly become crack - not - racists , which is a moment cheap but I ’m happy we did n’t have to hash over that nonsense again .
• Monroe admits what he , Rosalee , and every exclusive Grimm spectator was secretly feel : “ We hated that dress . ” Although he should have added , “ Although that does n’t at all excuse you baffle shit - face , put it own , and then ruin it . You ’re a freak . ”
• In the Salmon P. Chase between the FBI guy wire and Trubel , did I really see Trubel run foreland first into a stage set of storage locker at one point ? It was weirdly realistic to see someone scranble and contend to do sime thing done .
• After Juliette discovers ther negligee on the floor , it takes a long fourth dimension for Nick to work out out what bump . If you listen to Nick from Juliette ’s full stop of sight , whjere is just inordinateluy proud of slumber with some chick right before the wedding , it ’s hilarious .
