Watching Fear the Walking Dead , it ’s difficult to not call back about what ’s happening on the other side of the continent . By that we mean Atlanta , the place setting of the first take the air Dead show . fearfulness , of course , is a West Coast prequel set some fourth dimension beforehand — but they ’re both in the same universe .
Now that a season and a one-half of veneration the Walking Dead has aired though , showrunner Dave Erickson believes the two storylines have finally lined up .
“ If you marked off the days [ that have go past on aviation since reverence the Walking Dead debuted ] , I think right now , by the terminal of the first one-half [ of time of year two ] , we ’re getting very nigh to Rick waken up in Georgia , ” Erickson told TVLine . “ [ Fear The Walking utter survivor have ] arrived at a place where they ’re up to speed up on how one share with the apocalypse and the numb . ”
That may voice surprising , but it checks out . Fear the Walking idle motility at a pretty slow pace , with each episode seeming to foot up pretty nigh to the end of the last one . Not much time has passed on the show . However , there is also no true consensus as to how long Rick was in his coma . Estimates from various author and producer put it anywhere from two to five week . You have to find like Fear has survive at least that far , if not long .
Honestly though , it ’s not like it really matters . Whenever Rick woke up , The Walking Dead will always be several year ahead . Odds of them ever frustrate over seem slim .
