While many people might believe thatJason SudeikisandTed Lassoare one in the same, that’s not the case when it comes to his role as a coach for his 8-year-old daughterDaisy’s basketball team.

TheSaturday Night Livealum, 49, joked about taking on the real-life coaching role during the Friday, March 14 episode of theNew Heightspodcast withJasonandTravis Kelce.

“I just think it’s so ironic that now that you are a coach of your daughter’s team, you went back to the Coach Campbell style of coaching,” Travis quipped, referencing Sudeikis’ former basketball coach Donnie Campbell.

“Yeah, hollering at her. Just yelling at her,” Sudeikis joked of the daughter he shares with exOlivia Wilde. “ ‘Just ‘cause you’re 8 years old, doesn’t mean you gotta act like it! For God’s sake. Get outta my gym. Get the hell outta my gym, Daisy!' "

As for Coach Campbell, though he is credited as part of the inspiration for the kind-hearted Kansas City coach Ted Lasso, Sudeikis clarified of Campbell, “He was definitely more of a screamer.”

“I got the brunt of Coach Campbell and rightfully so. He would holler at me quite a lot," he added, speaking about his own time on the court.

Sudeikis shared that Lasso is beloved because of how he was created.

“[By] taking the best parts of all the different mentors and and and teachers and coaches I’d had in my life,” he explained.

In addition to playing sports with her dad, Daisy has also dipped her toe into acting with her director mom.

She received an acting credit for Wilde’s 2022 movieDon’t Worry Darling.
