Peta MurgatroydandMaks Chmerkovskiyare adding another little boy to their brood!
The pro dancers, who already share sons Shai, 7, and Rio, 8 months, are cementing their status as boy parents after announcing that they are expecting another son.
In a video posted to their Instagrams, Shai sits behind a white cake covered in question marks, with a fondant sign that reads “We’re here for the sex!” leaning against it. As the video continues, the family can be seen taking photos at a maternity shoot, posing with each other and swapping in Chmerkovskiy’s parents and Murgatroyd’s mom.
The proud parents then head outside, where they release confetti poppers in front of the rest of their family. Bits of blue confetti float in the sky, revealing that they’re expecting another a boy.

Chmerkovskiy, Murgatroyd and Shai also dig into the cake, which reveals a blue center. Smiling and laughing, the happy couple poses with both their kids before the video switches to Shai running around outside with blue balloons.
During the video chat, Chmerkovskiy was “tearing up” shortly after his wife told him the happy news, although they quickly started worrying about what they’re going to do as they discussed needing a bigger house. Murgatroyd wrote in the caption that it was “hilarious” telling her husband over FaceTime.
“It took one hour for me to get the courage to call him 😂 and when he wasn’t catching on we all couldn’t stop laughing in the kitchen. I had the ‘I’m so sick story’ the pickle and 2 bottles HAHA! Oh Maks 🥴.”
She continued, “After everything we’ve been through with miscarriages and IVF we’re beyond blessed and know we are uber lucky for this miracle to happen to us. We’re just so happy that we can finally tell you guys the good news 🥹.”
Although it was a bit of a shock, Chmerkovskiy has shared thathe’s excited to become a family of five.
“It’s definitely a dream come true, all those beat-up phrases,” Chmerkovskiy told PEOPLE after sharing the couple’s news. “I’m extremely excited to be in this position, in this place in my life. I am also very aware of the perspective, of where I come from, of where I am now.”
“I dreamt about this before. The family with somebody that I really want to have a family with. This unconditional love and house and it’s all of that. I’m also very much aware that it’s not that for everybody.”
