Savannah Chrisley’s vision for her future has changed since becoming guardian to two kids.
TheChrisley Knows Beststar, 26, appeared onThe Adversity Advantage Podcast, where she opened up about how her vision for a family of her own has changed since she became guardian forChloe Chrisley, 11, andGrayson Chrisley, 17.
“I always used to say I will have however many kids God will allow. That was my viewpoint,” she began. “I don’t know, I think when you’re young you think kids are easy, right? No.”
“After having Chloe and Grayson, if anything, it slowed my timeline down on things,” she acknowledged. “But I always said God meant for me to be a mom. If I don’t do anything right with my life, that’s going to be the one thing that I do right.”
Reflecting on her experience, she continued, “It’s definitely opened my eyes to how important bringing a child into this world is and how when we’re gone, what we leave behind are children. So, how we raise them and how we love them and guide them, it matters.”
“I think, if anything, it’s just made me realize that when that time does come for me to have kids, every little decision matters and impacts your child,” she concluded.

Chrisley took over asthe primary guardianof Chloe and her brother Grayson, after a federal judge sentenced her father,Todd, 54, and mother,Julie, 50, to acombined 19 years in prisonfor tax fraud in November 2022.
Since taking over as primary guardian, Chrisley has shared glimpses of their life on social media and her podcast. In anInstagram postin July, Chrisley opened up aboutthe realities of being a “bonus parent.”
“I’m not their mom. I’m not their dad. I’m their sister and I get to love and guide them through life. Being a bonus parent is TOUGH…no one could ever add up to their parents,” she wrote.
“But these kiddos have shown me so much love, patience, grace, understanding, and appreciation! Helping to raise these two kiddos is the hardest but most rewarding job I will ever have,” the television personality added.
While talking with friend and singerRaeLynn, 29, on her podcastUnlocked with Savannah Chrisley,Chrisley opened up about what her father said to her about parenthood before heading to prison.
“It’s such a rewarding job,” RaeLynn said of motherhood.
“And literally, I was laying in bed with Chloe the other night and she literally hugged me up, put her arm around me, and she goes, ‘I just want to let you know you’re doing a really good job with Mom and Dad gone,’ and I literally was like, ‘That, kids, that’s what it’s all about.'”
“It can be so hard, but when they feel the love, and you see a smile on their face, doesn’t matter if you have the crappiest day in the world. It literally changes everything,” she concluded.
